This Faithfull mortar raking kit is a specialist tool for use with 115mm (4½") or 125mm (5") diameter angle grinders, for two main tasks:

1. Removing mortar joints in brickwork.

2. Cutting channels within masonry materials for cable and pipe runs, and housings for electrical fittings and controls.

The fully adjustable sole plate allows a choice in the depth of cut and the tubular handle attaches to a vacuum cleaner for dust extraction. The kit comes complete with a unique reversible solid tungsten carbide cutter that is simple to replace and is available separately.

Kit contains the following items:

Adjustable depth sole plate with tubular handle for use on angle grinders with a 115mm (4½") or 125mm (5") diameter

M14 thread grinder collet

Reversible 8mm solid tungsten carbide cutter

3 reduction rings to fit angle grinders with a collar diameter of 50mm, 43mm, 42.5mm or 41mm

Replacement collet for use with the Faithfull mortar raking kits FAI MRKIT8 and FAI MRKIT10.

This robust multi purpose and versatile 10mm diameter tungsten carbide tipped routing tool is suitable for use with most mains operated power drills with ½" capacity chuck.  Ideal for the quick and easy removal of old and soft mortar from between brick courses prior to repointing.  The router can also be used for creating channels or grooves in plaster or cement skimmed walls when runs of electrical cable or pipework need to be recessed.
